Supervision, Teaching and Training
This page is aimed at professionals working with any child, young person, and adult.
Clinical Supervision
Supervision is essential for maintaining high standards of clinical practice. We have completed supervisor training (STAR) and offer supervision to psychologists and to non-psychology professionals who may use elements of psychological skills within their practice (e.g., nurses, GP's, speech and language therapists etc). Modes of supervision and duration are provided below:
One-to-one: 60 minutes
Group: 60, 90 or 120 minutes
We also facilitate Reflective Practice Groups (RPGs) within the workplace to encourage professionals to reflect upon their practice from a psychological perspective and consider how they can continue to provide the best care to the individual that they may be working with.
Academic Teaching
We can provide teaching on psychology modules within Universities. This includes:
-
Career talks about Clinical Psychology
-
Theoretical underpinnings of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and third-wave therapies
-
Applying psychological theory to practice
-
Facilitating reflective practice groups to students
We welcome opportunities to share psychological skills and knowledge to students who are considering a career in clinical psychology or to students who are currently studying on a clinical psychology training doctoral course.
Training
We facilitate training workshops in psychological skills to working professionals. The training will largely be based upon CBT principles and adapted to your clinical field. We are happy to offer training within your workplace.
